After that last hug on the 9th of June 2019 when I departed from Bangalore airport to Munich after celebrating his 70th birth anniversary, the next time I saw him directly was on the 18th of June 2019 in the cold storage, where his dead body was kept, he was no more. My dad left us on the 18th of June 2019 but his way of life will never leave me. He never said "I love you" to me or to my mom or to my brother or anyone, he simply loved the way he knew. He never taught us or preached us anything, he simply did what he believed was right, he simply worked and worked. I learnt a lot by observing him, even to this day, everyday I am trying to decode why he did some of the things he did. I didn't have a clue back then why that last hug at the airport was such a big one. Miss you dad. In life there is no failure. The concept of failure is applicable only when objective is known. In life you believe there is an objective, but you actually don't know what is the objective. When you don't know what is the objective how can there be a failure? In reality there is only journey (experience).

I love burgers, I love chocolates, I love that movie, I love you all, and whatnot? How many times in a day do we hear these statements that have no meaning attached to it? Every time I see a celebrity or someone on stage shouting out to the audience "I love you all", it makes me think, why the hell is he / she saying that?  Love is a deep emotion that is reserved for a few. If you love someone you will be willing to do anything for them. For example, when your loved one is sick you will be willing to take care of them. Will these celebrities even remember the people to whom they said I love you? Why do these celebrities or anyone who says it say it when they don't mean a word of what they say? They could use I like you all, it's nice to see you all or it’s great to be appreciated by you or it's exciting or something like this, but to say I love you is taking away the real meaning of it.  I wish people used the word “love” only when they really mean it.  ...

There is no point in comparing one's life with another's. For example, let's say you have high expectations from yourself, for a given task, you may rate yourself as 5 out of 10 because you think you could have done better and you believe you can do better because you have the ability. However, someone who doesn't have high expectations of himself might rate himself 8 and above. Now if we were to compare just based on the self assessed ratings, your rating will look bad even if the other person has not performed better than you. So, it is important to know there is no way we can compare our life with someone else.  Each life is different. Each life wants different things and has different level of experience requirement.

Death will anyway happen, whether we plan for it or not. So what we need to plan for, is life. We need to make the best plan for life. Somebody close to me was telling me " in the end you need at least 4 people to carry your body ", I asked why? It's not my problem anymore, if the body lies there then it's people's problem.

No reasons required to smile No reasons required to be happy No reasons required to dress well No reasons required to challenge status quo No reasons required to improve Some of the things that should be done by default and not for a reason

Once you have chosen to live, why not live the best possible life? When we are alive we can choose to live or to die.  Once we have chosen to live, why not choose to live the best possible life? Whether we want or not, death will happen when it has to happen, there is no choice in that. When we have a choice, let's make use of it. What is best possible life?  Using our capabilities to the fullest, enhancing our capabilities, and making the best use of our time.  [Not boastful way but sincerely example way] - I am now making full use of my capabilities, enhancing my capability, and making the best use of my time. Are you using your capabilities to the fullest, enhancing your capabilities, and making the best use of your time?

You are a murderer if you are wasting people's time, why? Life is a certain span of time. When someone gets killed, their time ends. If you are wasting people's time you are taking away a part of their life. Law doesn't call this as murder but it's a sort of murder. So next time you feel like sending useless whatsApp forwards to your friends, groups etc please just think again. Next time you feel like calling for a useless meeting, just think again. You are not taking their time, you are taking a part of their life. See a very rough calculation of how many useless whatApp messages are enough to take one human's lifetime equivalent time. Let's say a human's life span is about 34,164,000 minutes ( rough average 65 years). If you send a time wasting whatsApp forward to 20 people, and out of that let's say a minimum of 2 people (10%) send to 20 each, so that's 40 new people (now 20+40), and then again let's say a minimum of 10% of them se...

With all its uncertainties, Life is better than death because death is totally unknown. Written in April 2015, published in anoopkumarvk.blogspot.com (now deleted) This is why people live. If we would know what happens after death and if we would know that the experience after death would be pleasurable then everyone would be ready to die. We simply don't know death, when we don't know something we fear it, and that is natural.

My 4 year old son asked me this question today  "Where was I?" and I couldn't give an answer. I was showing him London fireworks 2018 and mentioned that except him we all family members have been in the London eye. And that he was not there as he was not born back then when we visited. His question was, "Where was I?" I said, you were not born He doesn't understand what born means and he asks again and again and again, but where was I? I don't have an answer. I distracted him and changed the topic. I dint want to cook up a story. Someday I would like to find the truth. Do you have a real answer? Not from books, not from religion, not from hearsay but from experience or idea based on some facts?
