Nature Conservation - A Poem

Nature Conservation

Dear elders and children
Our lands're going barren
Let's conserve mother nature
For all our better future

Lakes, rivers and the seas
Flowers, plants, and the trees
Nature, you're such a beauty
To conserve, is our own duty

Stop please encroaching lakes
It's flooding now without brakes
Stop please cutting down forest
It's animals place to live and rest

Forget promise of water for all
There won't even be a waterfall
There's shortage of fresh water
Let's conserve it a little better

The hills, valleys and mountains
Are for us, as long one maintains
Let's retain for future generation
Is essence of nature conservation

Conserve animals and plants
Should be in our daily chants
Enrich our mind, not only soil
Conserve air, water and oil

Worms, insects and the bees
Are life on earth's secret keys
Conserve nature, the message
Most important in life passage

Dear elders and children
Our lands're are going barren
Let's conserve mother nature
For all our better future

Wrote this poem for my son in kindergarten for his poem recitation competition with the theme of nature conservation.
