Memory game with cards - Connect with one liners

One of the ideas I came up with while playing Match Match or Pairs game using cards with my wife and 5 year old son was to create a one liner using the two cards that would help me to remember the cards that was flipped.

Note - card set that we used was kids card set for example with animals, tree, birds, etc.

If my first card is Apple and second card a Tree then I would create a one liner "An apple fell from the tree".  This helped me to remember the cards much better.  With this approach I was winning more often. Then to keep it equal I shared the technique with them too and the game became quite interesting as each of us had to say a one liner connecting both the cards and it was fun to hear the connections.
