Understand people before you set expectations

Understand people before you set expectations.

Whether it's family or work. First you need to understand the people around you. And then set the right expectations, right for each individual. Don't expect everyone to be the same and set the same expectations across the board.

One of your kid could be good at studies and other good at sports. Don't expect both to do good at studies or at sports.

At work a star performer may be able to close 10 deals in a quarter in an ethical manner. Don't expect everyone to close 10 deals in a quarter. If you expect, that is where unethical practices start.
