Don't change your name, step up your game

Don't change your name, step up your game

I see an increasing trend where people change their names (not officially but socially) to more English sounding names. Couple of random examples -  Dinesh to Danny, Anand to Andy etc.

If these were nick names (you were called by your family and friends as you were growing up, then it's OK), but if this change of name is to please a certain population, please give it a second thought. Why should we please someone else by changing our name? I feel it's a sign of covering up incompetence. Instead, shouldn't we work on improving our competency and earn respect, and make people learn our names? Give it a thought.

Let's not change our name, let's step up our game
