My entry to the Combating Corruption, Battling Black Money competition,  submitted in Nov 2017, awaiting results.

My India, our India, what a great nation
Touches heart, brings out deep emotion
More than any friend, any blood relation
With its diversity, rich culture and tradition

At the forefront of art, trade and education
From the very beginning of early civilization
Hub of Ayurveda, yoga and meditation
Healthy, wealthy and happy population

With the onset of western invasion
Began India’s systematic destruction
Ruled for centuries with clever division
Inflicted with a cancerous corruption

Sufferings under British occupation and deception
Unbearable pain and agony, started agitation
Led to revolt, dandi march and non-cooperation
Freedom struggle gained traction and finally fruition

Aftermath of colonization, damaged foundation
Trying to stitch it together with democratization
Corruption everywhere, from army jeeps to ration
Unfortunately the way of life for next generation

We are at a junction, to take a strong position
And steer the nation in the right direction
To battle black money and combat corruption
Let’s eradicate this cancerous corruption

Without planned action, and right solution
Coupled with problem of growing population
Caution, we will witness major disruption
So let’s now set the right wheels in motion

Great leadership, intention,vision and determination
Bold start demonetization, maybe more preparation
Top change isn’t enough to change current situation
Prevention, resolution and Individual Transformation

It’s time for some introspection and self-reflection
Resist temptation, show passion and national devotion
To improve condition and change world perception
Our generation, it’s time to make the right selection

Automation, digitization, and right to information
Standardization, Industrialization, Urbanization
Reverse talent migration, and control population
Function as one nation, free India from corruption

Battle black money and combat corruption
Let’s eradicate this cancerous corruption
My India, our India, what a great nation
I love my nation, and I will build my nation
Combating Corruption, Battling Black Money - Parliament of India


Dedicate to all Indians who are against corruption by heart but are helpless and have to live with it to continue their normal life. Let's be the change.

How do supermarkets capture feedback?

In a small shop (mom and pop store) the owner of the shop gets direct feedback from customers. For example, when a customer comes to purchase something and if that item is missing or sold out, the owner immediately is aware about this. Now the owner decides if he should order that item or not.  My question is, how do supermarkets manage similar situations? In the supermarkets when some item is missing or sold out, most customers don't bother to ask the employees there, even if they ask the employees are not tracking any of this and therefore not passing this information to store manager or management?

Eyes, Mouth and Nose - A short story for kids

One day, eyes, mouth, and nose argued with each other that they were the most important organ.  Nose said, "I am most important because I'm the one who breaths, if I don't breath just for a few minutes then we will die. And I am useful for smelling too".   Mouth and eyes laughed out loud and then Mouth said, "I am most important because I'm the one who lets water and food inside, if I don't take in water or eat food for a few days then we will not have any energy and we will die. And I am useful for talking too.
