Being flexible doesn't mean doing everything that your boss asks you to do.


Some people think that being flexible in the corporate or business world means that people have to say "yes" to everything that his/her boss asks them to do.

one example below ( doesn't cover all scenarios)

There is an incident on a weekend and you get a call from your Manager to support, and you fully support, this is being flexible. Incident was unplanned.

Your manager plans you to work on a weekend (official non working day) in the project plan for a development project and you agree.  This is not being flexible. This is being insecure and covering up incompetence .
